What is the best fruit to grill?
I recommend using figs, kiwi, or peaches. All three of these fruits have a juicy sweetness that I absolutely love and they pair well with both savory dishes as well as sweet desserts like grilled pineapple. What’s not to love about each bite bringing you two flavors in one? If you prefer something more on the sour side, go for pineapple.
Is grilled fruit healthy?
Yes! Grilled fruit is healthy because it locks in the natural sugars and adds a smoky sweetness that isn’t found anywhere else. Plus, grilling fruits like pineapple can help rid them of some of their extra sugar content so you get an even healthier treat for your taste buds to enjoy. I bet if we went back and looked at our hunter-gatherer ancestors, many of them would have grilled fruit on a regular basis.
How do I grill my favorite fruits?
To successfully grill any type of fruit is easy as pie! Simply cut the fruit into wedges or chunks and place it onto your grates with some cooking oil to help prevent sticking. Grill for a few minutes on each side and then serve it up.
The best way to grill fruit is by:
-Cutting it into wedges or chunks before grilling so that they’ll be easier to turn over in the pan without burning your hands; making sure you use cooking oil to prevent sticking.
